Lots of my patterns are BIG--bigger than I would ever expect them to be used. Why? Increasing the size of a digitized pattern can make it blocky and unattractive. So, I like to make patterns big, just in case someone may want to use them bigger than I anticipate. Patterns can always be made smaller without distortion.
Please visit my website for examples and discounts on sets: https://www.lilystreetpatterns.com/. Each day, a different pattern is half price. Today’s Flash Sale pattern is listed on the Home page of my website along with a link to the pattern’s page. To be notified of each day’s Flash Sale pattern, be sure to follow me on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/lilystreetpatterns or Instagram - @lilystreetquilts.
A note about Over Stitching or Back Tracking: I try to avoid back tracking whenever possible. However, some design paths can't be achieved in any other way. So here are my own guidelines for creating designs with minimal over stitching:
1) Short - back trace over short distances only
2) Straight lines - over stitching curvy lines can be more obvious
3) Immediate - back track right away before the original stitching has had a chance to shift
4) Avoid - unless absolutely necessary
